Lanshan Social Investment 400 Stock Index

Lanshan Social 400 Stock Index comes from a selection of nearly 400 stocks covering the themes of positive social and environmental impact in China stock market, i.e. environment protection, renewable energy, affordable health care, food safety, anti PM2.5, water purification.

Till August 2013, this index in general has beaten Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 (similiar with US Standard and Poor’s Composite 500 Index) for its entire duration period, which shows social investment may achieve an above-market return rate in some extent. Its performance could be found in the below graph:
